ABOUT WACK
The Windber Area Community Kitchen (or WACK, for short) is located in the Windber Calvary United Methodist Church. Although we will be serving at Calvary, the organization is the combined effort of several different individuals, groups, organizations, and churches throughout the Windber Area.
On June 27, 2009 the kitchen served its first successful community dinner and will continue to do so on the last Saturday of each month from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend for good food and fun fellowship! There are no income guidelines and all will be cheerfully served. Donations will be accepted, but are certainly not expected.
Our goal is to feed everyone, whether it be physically or spiritually. In short, we are here to feed both body and soul!
